Two of our alpaca and a few shetland sheep just relaxing in the shade. Some people say that alpaca can't share a pasture with other ruminates; but that is not accurate. The truth is that ruminates CAN share a pasture. It does, however, require very attentive management. For example, most ruminates must have copper in their diet, while copper would kill sheep. Also, proactive parasite prevention (which differs depending on the species) is absolutely necessary. So, while it is possible - it does require extra planning, work, and management. But seeing them all blissfully enjoying the pasture together makes the extra effort very worthwile. <3
