These South American camelids have graced us with their presence, and we couldn't be more thrilled to introduce them to our visitors. Hailing from the high-altitude regions of the Andes Mountains, alpacas have adapted beautifully to our farm's tranquil environment. Our two youngest alpacas are former bottle babies we have raised. We don’t ever encourage bottle raising camelids – but these girls were premature and born with serious medical issues which required being kept warmer than the barn and bottle feeding as they could not even stand.

Meet and Greet with Alpacas

Curiosity piqued? You're in for a treat! Our alpacas are available to visit as guests at your event, or will deliver your message to someone (alpaca-grams), or you can meet them on a visit to Haystack Homestead. Our Meet and Greet Corral sessions provide a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with these gentle creatures. From their inquisitive sniffs to their melodious hums, interacting with alpacas is an experience like no other. Learn about their history, behavior, and the care that goes into maintaining their health and happiness.
